Deputy Director, Accounting and Accounting Systems Operations

As Covered California’s Deputy Director, Accounting and Accounting Systems Operations, you will lead policy and oversight for core accounting functions, including GAAP-based financial statements, automated accounting systems, and problem resolution (including Covered California for Small Business), accounting operations, and external audits.In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated accounting professionals and represent the Financial Management Division with control agencies, auditors, vendors, and legislative stakeholders. You will also advise executive leadership on complex operational strategies with major accounting impacts.
