Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineer KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle, including licensed process technologies, advisory services, energy transition solutions, and high-end design capabilities. The Electrical Engineer will supervise and lead a group of engineers, provide technical direction, and ensure quality of project deliverables.
Responsibilities Lead teams of electrical engineers and designers on projects for constructing new and renovated industrial facilities, preferably in the chemical biofuel, biochemical, or refining sectors.
Develop task analysis for engineering and design hours.
Work with project schedules and link to other project disciplines.
Track earned value on completed electrical engineering and design work.
Provide technical direction, training, mentoring, and quality checking of project deliverables from less experienced team members.
Plan, budget, organize, and control a significant segment of a large, diversified engineering program or an entire engineering scope.
Manage measurable assets such as assigned staff and budgets.
Travel to client operating plants for meetings, surveys, and field inspections; must be physically able to walk around industrial facilities.
Secure required drug screening, background checks, and safety training for client site access.
Qualifications College degree in engineering or construction-related field, or 15 years of related experience if formal education is lacking.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience; 15+ years preferred for the required technical skill set.
Proficient in Power System Analysis, Front End Engineering & Design, Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Systems, Motors, Generators, Transformers, Switchgear, VFDs, UPSs, Heat Tracing, Lighting, Hazardous Area Classifications, Lightning Protection, Electrical Schematics, Physical Design Drawings, and the National Electrical Code.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred.
