DescriptionTitle: DriverReports to: Director of Operations (“DOO”) or management designeeSummary: This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer records primarily from K-12 schools throughout Tennessee and surrounding states while providing onsite support to the document scanning and production team when not on the road. The role involves operating company vehicles, handling sensitive materials with discretion, maintaining accurate box inventories, and ensuring compliance with all transportation and company safety policies.Essential FunctionsSafely operate company vans or box trucks to pick up and deliver boxes of records from K-12 school customers across Tennessee and occasionally neighboring states.Represent the company professionally at all customer locations, ensuring courteous and timely service.Load, secure, and unload boxes in a manner that prevents damage and maintains accurate chain-of-custody documentation.Be available for overnight travel as required (typically 2–3 days per week).Maintain driving logs, vehicle inspection reports, and mileage records in compliance with DOT and company standards.When not traveling, assist the scanning and production team with: Moving boxes in and out of the production area. Maintaining and organizing box inventory. Assisting with general warehouse and document handling duties as needed.Report to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.Meet departmental productivity and quality standards.Communicate clearly and follow direction from management and team leads.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or DOO.In the event of inclement weather, report to work two hours before regularly scheduled time to allow for travel delays and vehicle preparation (including use of tire chains if necessary).RequirementsCompetencies:Has a positive and respectful attitudeAble to accept change in directions as customer needs change.Well organized and detail orientedAble to work both in a team environment and as an individual contributor.Able to follow all company policies and procedures.Self-motivatedWorks well under pressure.Good knowledge of city streets or able to read a city map.Ability to use handheld device, electric pickers, drive van or box truck.Work environment: Must be able to tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to reach, handle, carry, and lift between 10 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.
