Personal Care Assistant - PCAThis position provides personal care and related services to patients in the home.Essential functions include:Following the Plan of Care to provide safe, competent care/services to the patient.Helping the patient maintain good personal hygiene and assisting in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.Planning and preparing nutritious meals.Assisting the patient with ambulation as detailed by Patient Care Plan.Encouraging the patient's independence but not exceeding their capabilities outlined in the Patient's Care Plan.Performing routine housekeeping tasks.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Related competencies:Language skills:Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, policies and procedures, professional journals, technical guidelines, and governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Must be able to provide guidance and direction accurately and clearly to Company staff and employees.Decision making:Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; possess ability to analyze data from different sources to draw conclusions; utilize effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.Education/Training:High School graduate or equivalent.Licensure/Certification:Valid Driver's LicenseCPR/First Aide CertificationClearances:Criminal background Drug ScreeningDriving Record OIG Exclusion ListSex Offender Registry
