Req: 10056008Job Title: Assistant ControllerLocation: Oakland, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite after 90 days)Salary: $130-$144kBay Area based non-profit providing trauma care, education and housing for youths is seeking an Assistant Controller to co-manage the accounting function for this 300 person company. This role will be a part of the rebuilding of the accounting function, reporting into the CFO, and will manage a team of 5 accountants. Targeting Accounting Manager level candidates who have worked in larger non-profit Federally funded entities where there has been change and they have dealt with projects such as building out a new chart of accounts, streamlining policies and procedures, system implementation and automation, etc. This role will report directly to the CFO and work onsite 3 days per week after the initial 90 daysRequirements8 years experience in accounting including both accounts payable, payroll and close/financial statement production.Prior non-profit or government industry experience with federal funding/grants is required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field.Minimum 2 years as an Accounting Manager with direct staff management is required.Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills.Strong systems and automation experience coming for a growth company.
