Senior Account Manager – Distribution Sales (Electronic Components)

Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Distribution Sales (Electronic Components)We are seeking a strategic and high-performing Senior Account Manager to lead and expand our distribution channel business across the greater Chicago region. This role is focused on driving revenue growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, and increasing market penetration within the electronic components ecosystem.The ideal candidate brings strong experience in electronics distribution—either from a major distributor or from the manufacturer side managing distributor accounts—and has a proven ability to build deep, multi-level relationships across channel partners.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow relationships with major electronic component distributors across the region, including Arrow, Avnet, DigiKey, Mouser, and Future ElectronicsDevelop and execute distribution sales strategies to increase demand creation, product visibility, and channel revenueBuild strong engagement at distributor branch level to ensure consistent mindshare among sales teamsConduct training sessions, technical seminars, and joint customer visits to support pipeline developmentEstablish and maintain relationships with distributor leadership, product managers, and field application engineers (FAEs)Identify and track design-in opportunities and convert distributor pipeline into long-term revenue growthServe as escalation point for pricing, inventory allocation, contract negotiations, and ship-and-debit programsAnalyze POS/POP data to identify trends, forecast gaps, and growth opportunitiesDeliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts for distribution channel performanceCollaborate with internal engineering, factory, and customer service teams to ensure seamless distributor supportQualificationsMust be based in the Chicago area with strong knowledge of the local electronics and manufacturing ecosystem6–10+ years of experience in distribution sales or channel management within the electronics industryStrong background working with or for major electronic component distributors or manufacturersProven ability to build and influence relationships across all organizational levelsDeep understanding of electronic components, semiconductors, passives, or related hardware ecosystemsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferredIf you want, I can also convert this into a LinkedIn job post, ATS-friendly JD, or a short recruiter outreach message.
