NJ Certified High School Chemistry Teacher (2025-2026)Trenton, NJAchievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is New Jersey's first public charter school for students in middle school and high school that provides them with the unique opportunity to pursue one of four STEAM pathways (Health Sciences, Digital Media, Audio Engineering and Cisco Computer Networking). Students can have access to a program that allows them to earn up to 60 college credits, NOCTI credentials and workplace training. Teachers in this position be able to do the following:A New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in General Science, Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.Possession of a current and valid teaching certificate in the appropriate subject/content area issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.Familiarity with Next Generation standardsExperience/comfort with online applications to enhance learningDesign and implement curriculum and assessments that measure progress towards academic standardsUse data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practicesReceptive to weekly coaching and committed to growing and strengthening practiceProvide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behaviorImplement multiple techniques for increased student engagement and checking for understandingWill be accountable for students' mastery of academic standardsFamiliarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platformsCommunicate effectively with students, families, and colleaguesEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferredTeaching experience in an upper elementary, middle, or high school with an underserved populationAdept interpersonal and communication skills to diverse audiencesValid NJ Teacher CertificationCompensation & Benefits:Salary range (65k - 72k) based on experience and certificationComprehensive benefits packageInstructional coaching and ongoing professional developmentLeadership and growth opportunities within a high-performing school
