Executive Assistant/Project Manager to VP of Public AffairsA well-known nonprofit organization in Houston is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager / Executive Assistant to support its Vice President of Public Affairs on a contract assignment. This role is ideal for a polished administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is confident keeping executives and projects on track. This position will support initiatives related to government relations, board relations, and revenue generation through government funding. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter who can work independently, manage deadlines with urgency, and provide high-level administrative and project support in a dynamic environment.Position: Executive Assistant/Project Manager to VP of Public AffairsHours: 8am - 5pm (100% in-office) Contract Duration: at least 90-days (possible extension)Key ResponsibilitiesManage executive calendar, appointments, meetings, and scheduling prioritiesTrack deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups to ensure projects remain on scheduleAssist with administrative and project coordination related to government and board initiativesMonitor applications, submissions, reporting deadlines, and related documentationCoordinate communications and support day-to-day executive operationsProvide organizational support for meetings, presentations, and executive prioritiesAssist with grant-related support and documentation as neededMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail in all interactions QualificationsPrevious Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or high-level administrative support experience requiredStrong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work independently and proactively manage competing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional, polished, and adaptable demeanorExperience supporting executives, board relations, government initiatives, or nonprofit environments is a plusGrant writing or grant support experience is a plusBachelors degree preferred, but not requiredInterested candidates please send resume in Word format Please reference job code 137776 when responding to this ad.
