* 3-5 Part-time positions available (Job sharing, substitute, and field trip nursing coverage also available)POSITION OVERVIEW:All programs are Monday through Thursday July 6 - Aug 6, 2026.Hours: Wampatuck 9-11:30; Gates/ SHS 8-1ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basisNursing needs could include absence coverageProvide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injuryAdminister medications as neededProvide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illnessCommunicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed. Ensure that ESY staff are aware of allergies or any serious medical conditionsPerform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Special Education Director, including monitoring the door for student arrivalsQUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in MassachusettsCurrent certification in CPR and First AidExperience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.Employment is based on the successful completion of a CORI and fingerprinting background checkCurrent authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:* Bachelor's Degree* At least 2 year(s) of relevant work experienceTERMS: Summer 2026, hourly rate is $52.30The Scituate Public Schools have a commitment to maintaining an educational environment and workplace that establishes programs and support mechanisms to recruit and retain staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels that meet the needs of all students through a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
