Manager, Machine Learning Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Machine Learning Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.This role will lead a high-performing team focused on building and improving machine learning systems that support consumer-scale financial products. The manager will guide technical direction, delivery, and team development while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and execution. This is an opportunity to shape engineering standards, strengthen operational reliability, and help the organization scale its ML capabilities.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $170,000 – $210,000 annuallyResponsibilities Manage and develop a high-performing team of Machine Learning Engineers. Set quarterly goals and oversee the team's delivery of projects. Guide technical architecture and implementation best practices for machine learning systems. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to align on project requirements. Monitor team capacity to balance development and operational tasks effectively.Qualifications 2+ years of team management experience, including hiring and performance management. 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering for consumer-scale applications. 3+ years of hands-on Python experience in production settings. Demonstrated track record in developing and mentoring engineers toward promotions.
