Please let us know if you have questions.General DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the Credentialing Specialist position is to facilitate the timely credentialing of applicable staff. They will work with Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) and private panels for credentialing purposes.Education and/or ExperienceA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance which meets Options' requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and internet usage is required. Will be required to learn our Electronic Client Records (ECR) system. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities.Options requires that all staff have respectful, open, unbiased, and accepting attitude toward clients, their families, and other staff.QualificationsAbility to safeguard client protected health information; maintain confidentiality when applicableDemonstrated attention to detailAbility to work independentlyAbility to produce accurate work while meeting required deadlinesPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of Behavioral Health credentials and qualifications (OAR 309-019-0125)Experience with OHA's Medicaid ID application process and Medicare enrollmentEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCredentialingFacilitate credentialing of new hires with all eligible panelsFacilitate re-Credentialing of applicable staff with CCOs and private panelsInitiate communication with potential new private panelsAssist in new panel applications, as neededVerify degrees, licenses, school accreditations, exclusions, and certifications for applicable staffMaintain staff credentials in ECRMaintain a Credentialing Panel Roster for all applicable staffAssist applicable staff in set up with a CAQH, NPPES, and DMAPParticipate in private panel committee teleconferencesWorking ConditionsOffice environmentVision sufficient to read client records, related documentation, and for drivingExtended periods of time sitting at work station, and phone workRequires ability to sustain mental concentration and maintain attention to details.
