Process Development Engineer

About the Role As a Process Development Engineer, you will drive the evolution of precision manufacturing by refining production workflows and optimizing technical systems. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between prototype design and full-scale production, ensuring high-quality output through advanced engineering solutions and data-driven process improvements. Responsibilities Engineer and refine manufacturing workflows, standard operating procedures, and production methodologies to maximize output. Design custom tooling and fixtures to enhance production capabilities and resolve complex machining challenges. Provide technical oversight for CNC operations, focusing on process validation and rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Utilize production analytics to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies that improve throughput and product quality. Spearhead continuous improvement projects by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste. Manage technical documentation, including routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and detailed process specifications. Lead the transition of new products from initial development phases into stable, high-volume manufacturing. Perform root cause analysis to resolve quality deviations and implement permanent corrective actions. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Proven experience in a precision machining or high-tolerance manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, ESPRIT, or VERICUT. Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process validation techniques. Preferred Skills Experience with PFMEA and the development of comprehensive Control Plans. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams through complex engineering projects. Knowledge of capital equipment evaluation and facility capacity planning.
