If you love sports, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a relentless work ethic — let’s talk.Roles & Responsibilities• Own frontend architecture, from initial prototypes to full-scale web apps.• Build and optimize responsive, pixel-perfect UIs in React (TypeScript preferred).• Integrate with backend (Express/Node) and MongoDB to handle performant data flows.• Partner with Product & Design to refine UX, conduct A/B tests, and iterate quickly.• Maintain code quality and reliability with unit tests (e.g., Jest/Enzyme) and code reviews.• Advocate frontend best practices: performance tuning, accessibility (WCAG), automated deployments.• Monitor production using metrics, logging, and observability tools.Eligibility RequirementsWork authorization required to work in the U.S.Must-Haves• BS or MS in CS, or equivalent practical experience.• 1-3 years building production-grade web apps using React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.• Proven track record in startup environments or lean teams, shipping features end-to-end without much guidance.• Strong Typescript, CSS-in-JS, HTML5, and RESTful API skills.• Experience with state management (Redux, Recoil, Context API).• Familiar with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library), build tools (Webpack/Vite), and version control (Git).• Deep understanding of performance optimization, responsive/adaptive design, and browser rendering.Nice-to-Haves• TypeScript, CI/CD, serverless (GCP).• Familiarity with React Native or mobile-first design.• Experience deploying scalable systems in production.• Experience working at a startup or early-stage tech company.• Passion for sports, community events, or gamified platforms.• Exceptional work ethic—you own your work, care about quality, and never stop learning.• Team player: proactive communication, open to mentorship, and thrives in collaborative agile setups.• Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and ability to pivot with shifting priorities.Why Join Pling?Gain hands-on founding experience in architecture, UI/programming, and analytics/AI within a fast-growing sports-tech startup.
