Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.The Hazardous Waste Coordinator is responsible for managing regulated and hazardous waste programs in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across multiple geographically dispersed sites.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage hazardous and regulated waste activities in accordance with 40 CFR Parts 260-268 and Part 279Oversee used oil and hazardous waste generator requirementsCoordinate waste profiling, approvals, and off-site waste shipment activitiesPerform and manage self lab-pack operationsRemotely manage waste generation activities at multiple locationsEvaluate real and personal property for environmental liabilities and materials of concernSupport material reclamation and precious metals recovery complianceImplement and manage hazardous materials and waste information systemsEnsure cradle-to-grave waste tracking and documentationMinimum QualificationsBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science or Environmental ManagementExperience with:40 CFR Parts 260-268 and Part 279Hazardous Waste Management SystemsLand Disposal RestrictionsTransportation and off-site disposal coordinationPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting federal facilities or multi-site waste programsExperience with waste information systems implementation across varied work environmentsDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.Navarro is an equal-opportunity employer.
