Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer
Position: The Village of Altamont is seeking candidates for the PT position of Building Inspector/ Code Enforcement Officer. The position requires 6 hours a week total; office hours and out of office inspections.
Duties:
-Enforce State and local building & property maintenance codes and ordinances;
-Read and interpret plans and specifications;
-Ready any plans for review by the Zoning Boards of Appeals;
-Attend and assist Zoning Board of Appeals at monthly meeting;
- Inspect repairs and construction for compliance with codes and ordinances;
-File all permits issued into the State B.A.S. System (training provided by Village);
Requirements: -High School Diploma
-NYS Building Certification
-Experience with Microsoft suite programs

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
