Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist - Paterson, NJ

This contract position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting a school setting in Paterson, NJ, covering maternity leave from April 27 to June 24 and again from September 3 to November 20. The role involves working primarily with students in grades 5 and 6, including support for self-contained students with multiple disabilities in grades 3 through 8, all housed within the same building.Responsibilities include:Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needsCollaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plansConducting assessments and documenting progress in compliance with school protocolsUtilizing skills in pediatric and healthcare-focused speech-language pathology to support student developmentQualifications and Desired Experience:Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferredExperience working in school-based settings, particularly with pediatric populations and students with multiple disabilitiesStrong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively within the school environmentWork Schedule:School hours from 8:30 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.This role is an excellent opportunity for an SLP with experience in educational and pediatric settings to provide critical support during maternity leave periods.
