A strong focus is placed on fostering a safe, inclusive workplace and reducing environmental impacts.Job description:Technical Service Specialist (Remote Mid-West based)Position Summary: Responsible to provide technical support to electroplating customers in the United States. Metalor Advanced Plating division provides precious metal electroplating chemistry to a wide range of customers and applications. The main markets served include connectors, semiconductors, decorative, and general metal finishing. We are seeking a motivated individual that is willing to provide routine and complex support. The position will be responsible to maintain relationships with existing and prospective accounts. This individual should represent the company and adhere to the highest standards of personal conduct and ethics.Responsibilities:Provide support for sales and business development activities including both customer service and new business generation at existing and new accounts.Establish and maintain excellent customer relations at all accounts.Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or onsite visits.Provide management with regular, detailed information on customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, pricing and new business opportunities.Learn lab methods and provide lab assistance for customer samples or Metalor production, when necessary.Troubleshoot product issues with customers and coordinate with Metalor team members to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.Participate in trade shows, industry professional activities and associations.Implement sales practices in accordance with company policies.Consult and coordinate sales activities with office staff and/or sales team.Establish and communicate objectives; track and report performance regularly.Work with a goal-oriented, optimistic, pro-active attitude and demonstrate a commitment toteam achievement.Provide support to engineering, lab, manufacturing, sales, and customer service.Other duties as directed.Requirements/Qualifications:Outstanding individual contributor.Effective team player.Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.Strong interpersonal and listening skills.Time and priority management skills.Competent in the use of computers for handling email, producing report documents, and documenting field problems.Willingness to learn new products and markets.Demonstrated in-depth understanding of markets and customers.Must be capable of achieving goals and objectives on an individual basis; expected to require minimal supervision for daily activities as well as regular reporting responsibilities.Competent in the use of computers for handling email, producing report documents and documenting field problems.Position is remote, will be required to work in virtual environment in your own established home office and while on the road.Must be willing to devote at least 50% or more of your time traveling to customers.Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.Seeking a candidate with experience in electroplating or precious metal technologies.Education: College graduate or applicable work experience in the industry; chemistry degree desired. Individual with technical electroplating experience and the willingness or desire to gain sales experience will be considered.Experience: 3+ years of relatable professional experience.
