Description The essential function of the position is to clean and maintain Convention Center facility. The position is responsible for assigned tasks. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks. Summary of Duties Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies. Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal. Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff. Serves as attendant of Convention Center parking facility by collecting parking fees. Uses hand signals to direct parking lot traffic. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Maintains equipment of responsibility; assists with maintenance of inventory of supplies. Minimum Qualifications Prefers high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training. Requires three months of related experience. Supplemental Information Physical demands refers to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Requires light to medium work involving standing or walking most of the time, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis.
