Production Worker

Career Opportunity:These entry level positions provide labor for various tasks around the mill including picking up paper, operating forklift, cleaning, etc.. Will fill in for vacancies in entry level positions as needed. Must be able to carry/lift 50 lbs. Candidates with previous experience operating forktruck or other mobile equipment are preferred, but that experience is not necessary for consideration. This is a rotating shift position and membership in the Union is required after 90 days.Essential Job Functions:1Participates in the safety program and works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the plant and OSHA2Maintain general housekeeping around mill, including but not limited to : dumping hoppers/trash, cleaning floors / walls, general cleanliness of mill3Assist with Housekeeping Audit action items as directed by area owner4Assist with general duties in dry end / wet end as required, which may include: use of overhead crane to move rolls, cutting of cores, slabbing rolls and banding slabs to prepare for transport to trailer5Use forklift as required to move broke, supplies, etc.6Keeping supplies stocked in areas throughout Mill7Knowledge and understanding of Mill training system, policies, and processes8Other duties as assignedSmurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
