What we offer: Salary plus bonus Healthcare, dental, vision First Assist Time Extensive training and on-boarding A collaborative culture Matching 401k- 4% CME allowance plus CME time off that is separate from PTO 27 days PTO Malpractice coverage Job Details Serve as the first assist in orthopaedic surgical cases within an ambulatory surgery center.This is a hands‐on, intraoperative role focused on case preparation, efficient first assistance, and immediate post‐op tasks—no outpatient clinic or floor rounding.M-F 8am- 4:30pm Key Responsibilities Pre‐op/Room Prep: Review consents and imaging; coordinate equipment/implants; patient positioning; ensure prophylaxis and surgical safety checklist/time‐out are completed.Intraoperative First Assist: Provide exposure, retraction, hemostasis; operate arthroscopy cameras and instrumentation; prepare grafts; manage tourniquet and C‐arm positioning; handle suturing, stapling, and wound closure.Implant & Instrument Management: Confirm implant selection; document lot numbers; work seamlessly with vendor reps and sterile processing.Immediate Post‐op: Apply dressings/splints/casts; complete brief operative notes and implant logs; perform PACU handoff.OR Efficiency & Quality: Support swift room turnover; participate in infection prevention and quality initiatives; maintain compliance with ASC policies, AAOS standards, OSHA/JCAHO requirements.Skills you need: License, or eligibility to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant in CT Interested in hearing more?
