Devops/Infrastructure Engineer
Overview:
In this role, you will drive AI-augmented operations across our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, focusing on reliability and performance. You will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex network and service-mesh issues, and build MCP-enabled AI agents to automate log analysis, incident response, and remediation. Your work will shape scalable, observable systems using Istio, Flannel, CoreDNS, and related tooling, while integrating AI assistants with developer and operations workflows. This is an opportunity to push automation and real-time diagnostics at scale within a modern cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot production-grade networking and service-mesh components (Istio, Envoy, sidecar injection, mTLS)
- Manage Kubernetes networking (Flannel CNI, VXLAN, MTU, kube-proxy iptables/IPVS, conntrack) and CoreDNS performance tuning
- Conduct packet capture and analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark) and enable distributed tracing (Jaeger)
- Design and deploy MCP servers for infrastructure operations (model context protocol) and Kubernetes API access
- Develop MCP-enabled AI agents for log analysis, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and automation
- Create AI-powered incident orchestration interfaces integrating GitLab, Jira, Slack, PagerDutyBuild self-service tools and infrastructure query interfaces exposing Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes APIs to AI assistants
- Collaborate on AI-enhanced operations strategy to improve MTTR and incident management
Key requirements:
- 8-10 years experience in DevOps/Infrastructure
- Strong Kubernetes expertise
- Deep knowledge of Istio service mesh and Envoy
- Experience with Flannel CNI, VXLAN, MTU configuration
- Kubernetes networking troubleshooting (kube-proxy, iptables/IPVS)
- Experience with CoreDNS tuning and NodeLocal DNSCacheProficiency with packet analysis and tracing tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, Jaeger)
- Experience building MCP servers and AI integration for operations
- Familiar with incident management tools (GitLab, Jira, Slack, PagerDuty)
