He/she is responsible for implementing a preventative maintenance program.Minimal qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, three (3) years of experience in school district maintenance, a Mechanical Contractor's License or Mechanical Journeyman License, Universal Certification (Type I, II & III), knowledge with boiler systems, proficiency with Building Automation Systems (BAS), a valid state vehicle operator's license with a clean driving record, strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a satisfactory attendance and job performance record.Major duties and responsibilities may include providing 24-hour care and support for district facilities, completing HVAC-related work orders, ensuring compliance with state mandates for building maintenance, advising on and recommending energy-saving strategies, performing tasks requiring bending, lifting, and overhead work, and carrying out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
