Line Cook

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in menu planning and daily meal preparation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures Use knife skills for precise food cutting and preparation Support catering events with meal assembly and presentation Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a restaurant or catering setting Fine dining experience is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and presentation skills Excellent knife skills and culinary techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills Previous experience in the food industry or as a dietary aide/dietary department experience is advantageous Job Type: Part-time Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour Work Location: In person
