Desktop Support Analyst
Solarus Technologies is seeking a motivated IT Support Analyst / Engineer (Level 1.5 – 2) to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role based in Midtown Manhattan, supporting one of our key clients onsite three days per week, with the remaining time spent collaborating with our internal team at our NYC headquarters.This position is ideal for someone who has strong foundational IT support experience and is looking to continue developing their technical skillset within a fast-paced MSP environment. Given the nature of this role, you will serve as a direct extension of both Solarus and our client, requiring a high level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:Provide onsite and remote technical support for end users, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devicesTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional mannerSupport and administer Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 (O365)Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controlsAssist with onboarding/offboarding processes and device provisioningSupport basic networking (connectivity, VPNs, Wi-Fi issues)Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders and end users, delivering a high level of customer serviceCommunicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, including executives, ensuring a positive support experienceEscalate complex issues as needed while maintaining ownership through resolutionDocument issues, resolutions, and processes within ticketing systemsCollaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality service deliveryRequired Qualifications:2–4 years of IT support experience (preferably within an MSP or client-facing environment)Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environmentsHands-on experience with:Active DirectoryMicrosoft Azure / Entra IDMicrosoft 365 (O365)Experience with user administration, group policies, and access managementSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)Strong communication skills with the ability to support and engage with users at all levels, including senior leadershipProven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a client-facing environmentPreferred Qualifications:Industry certifications such as:AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals)CompTIA A+Network+Security+Previous experience working in an MSP environmentExposure to endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, etc.)What We’re Looking For:A proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional presenceConfidence working directly with clients and representing Solarus onsiteSomeone eager to continue learning and growing within ITInterest in pursuing additional certifications and advancing technical expertiseWhy Solarus Technologies?At Solarus, we pride ourselves on delivering high-touch IT support while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment for our team.
