Construction Inspector

Job Description Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Construction Inspector to work on major water related infrastructure projects in the Portland area. Travel will be required for this position. The Construction Inspector will provide construction oversight on small to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure public works projects including water, wastewater, treatment, pipeline, pump stations and reservoirs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily onsite oversight of contractor and its construction activities under supervision of the Construction Manager/ Engineer. Perform necessary inspections to ensure the project is being constructed in compliance with the contract requirements and applicable permits. Provide daily written reports detailing daily activities, labor and equipment.Track contractor schedule compliance Prepare written communication between owner and contractor Coordinate meetings with contractors, clients, and staff Provide quality control inspection of contractor’s work Qualifications3+ years’ experience with all facets of construction including civil, mechanical and electrical installations.Experience with sewer rehabilitation, municipal projects, water and wastewater pipelines, agriculture pump stations, and/or water or wastewater treatment plants, for both new construction and rehabilitation, is strongly .Certifications for specialty inspections of steel, concrete, welding, coatings, and other aspects of infrastructure projects is a plus. Hourly Pay Rate for this position is anticipated to be $50.00 per hour, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority and geographic location.
