Shipping And Receiving Clerk

Shipping and Receiving Clerk We are seeking dedicated individuals for two second-shift Shipping and Receiving Clerk positions. In this role, you will manage the logistics of shipping and receiving, ensuring the accurate handling and documentation of all items. This position is scheduled for the second shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some voluntary weekend shifts available. Training will be conducted during the first shift, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.Oversee the safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods.Ensure international shipment documentation complies with applicable standards.Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal and external customers and suppliers.Perform record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as required.Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.Complete other duties as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.Meet the company's employee attributes and competencies.Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent.Basic math and reading skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Basic computer skills.Interpersonal skills for communication with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel.Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications Warehouse experience with forklift, packing, and shipping.Knowledge of metals handling for staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.Preferred associate degree.First aid and CPR training.Exposure to SAP, safety programs, and ISO standards.Why Work Here? You will work directly on or around heavy machinery and must adhere to all safety guidelines.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $20.20/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
