Network Engineer with DOCSIS experience Type: Contract, hourly rate $40 - $60/hourly Location: Denver, CO – Denver Tech Center (Hybrid role; onsite 4 days/week) Unison Systems is looking for a Telecom Network Engineer II with PON, Docsis, and Harmonic R-Phy experience for our national telecommunications client. This will be a long-term month contract. Our client is located out of Englewood, CO and offers 1 remote day a week. Candidates must be local as we frequently need to physically touch hardware inside of the lab. Cable industry and lab experience is a must have. The candidate will investigate issues on enterprise networks and related hardware and software. Reproduces issues in a lab environment. Collaborates with vendors to create solutions. Designs and documents network architecture. Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security, connectivity and access parameters. Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Tests and tunes security devices and systems. Programs routers and switches. Implements communications technologies (data or voice). Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
