The Physician Assistant is responsible to provide healthcare services to patients in both the clinic and in surgery, under direction and responsibility of physician(s)This is a part-time, .8 FTE, position working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM out of our Burnsville & Edina locations.Almara Women's Health | OBGYN Specialists is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.Essential FunctionsAssist physician in the clinic (e.g., room and prep patients; order x-rays; compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination) Assist surgeon in operating room (e.g., pre-surgery planning, position patient in O.R., check for proper instruments, assist in surgical procedure, close wound, remove patient)Perform procedures such as suturing and wound careImplement patient management plans, record progress, and assist in provision of careConsultations with (phone or in-person) patientsRounding and call, as required by supervising PhysicianPrescribe medicationsOccasionally participate in community functions relating to s outreach events throughout the year.Any and all other duties as assignedEducation And Experience RequirementsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programNCCPA certificationMinnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/licenseDEA registration Benefits & Compensation: Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience. The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
