Phlebotomist/Processor - Atrium Medical Center

Located at Atrium Medical Center (Middletown OH)Part-time Evening Shift Monday through Friday (1:30pm - 10pm) with every other weekendPosition Summary:The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental proceduresAccurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transportComplete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systemsDeliver specimens to testing areasMaintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and ordersEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policiesConduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Graduate or equivalentSome experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferredSafety & Physical Demands:Ability to walk 5-7 miles daily and stand for entire shiftExposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicalsAdherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policiesCompliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areasCompletion of required safety training and health evaluations promptlyProactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness
