Tack Truck Driver

Safely operate the tack truck while adhering to traffic laws and company safety proceduresLoad and transport tack emulsion to job sitesApply tack coat evenly on road surfaces to ensure proper bonding of asphalt layersPerform daily maintenance checks and cleaning of tack truckComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspectionMonitor material temperature to maintain qualityAssist with additional tasks when the tack truck is not in use, such as shoveling or broomingMaintain accurate records of material usage and equipment issuesCollaborate with the asphalt paving crewMust be able to work in extreme heatMust be able to tolerate high levels of noise, dust, and proximity to heavy equipmentPotential exposure to substances like asphalt and diesel fuelFollow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.Follow all company safety guidelines.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) A with tanker endorsement1-2 years of CDL driving experience preferable in constructionKnowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety regulationsPhysical ability to lift heavy itemsAbility to work in various weather conditionsMust be able to tolerate outdoor conditions including extreme heatMust be able to tolerate high levels of noise, dust, and proximity to heavy equipmentProfessional Attitude & conductMulti-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.High degree of safety awareness and safety disciplineDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by Pittman Construction Safety and OSHA.Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.You will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performedPlease be aware that you must successfully complete a drug screen and background check in order to be hired into the Pittman Construction.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
