Material Handler

This role will contribute to higher overall productivity of the entire group.Safety - PPE RequiredSafety glassesCut resistant glovesSafety toe shoesEar plugsHigh vis vest Supervisory Responsibility: NoneEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupply Raw materials and parts to the production line assignedRemove empty bins for refillingTransport finished goods away from the production line assignedRemove all waste from the line assignedRemove WIP and other material scrap from the line once cleared to move into designated bins. They will be in designated spots and colored redUpdate status/alert boards of line assignedReplace tools/fixtures as needed for the line assignedNotify proper person to schedule pickups of miscellaneous items such as scrap, trash removal, totes, out of date chemicals, metal hoppers and palletsPerform line side replenishment audits when requiredHelp maintain a clean work area on the line assigned as well as assigned supermarketsAdherence to established safety policies, procedures, and practicesSupports the organization’s efforts toward continuous improvementSupports the organization’s goals and valuesDemonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and serviceHelp improve overall processesEngages with all line teams on a daily basisProvides good customer service to all customers, both internal and externalPerform other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager, Line Supervisor, and/or Team LeaderSuccessful Candidates MustBe able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis and be able to work in a standing, bending, and/or stretching positionHave Excellent Communication skillsExperienced and Knowledgeable working within welding/production linesProblem solving skillsPunctuality and time management skillsMust be process driven and know how to take a systematic approach to the jobForklift experience Education and Experience: High school diploma/equivalent or higher educationLanguage Skills: Multilingual a plus - English and SpanishAt the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $23.24/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
