Payroll Benefits Analyst

Job Title: Payroll Benefits AnalystJob DescriptionA large payments company based in California is looking for a Payroll Benefits Analyst to join the team! This role can sit in Foster City, CA or Austin, TX.This individual will assist with the day-to-day activities and special data projects related to the US retirement (pension) plan. This role will also work closely with the Retirement Team to ensure that the retirement plan is compliant and administered consistently. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of retirement plan design, administration, and compliance.This individual will collaborate closely with other members of the Benefits team, along with members of Payroll, Legal, and HR Shared Services. The individual will also work closely with our third-party administrators and consultants.Responsibilities include: Working on special retirement projects such as a data clean-up project Researching and reconciling collecting documentation, preparing, and fulfilling retirement calculation requests Analyzing retirement plan data from vendor and internal reporting team Reviewing completed retirement paperwork and interacting with current and former employees around the distribution process Assisting HR Shared Service members with answering employee questions Supporting annual audit and government compliance requirements (Forms 5500s, AFN distribution) Drafting communications, education, and retirement plan web contentHard SkillsPayroll and/or third party administration exp5+ years of experience in pension, 401k or payroll managementProficiency in ExcelExperience with ADP and Workday (preferred)Advanced knowledge of retirement plansERISA law knowledge (preferred)BA/BS degree or equivalent (preferred)Job TypeThis is a contract position with a duration of 8 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Foster City, California and some days remote.Work EnvironmentFoster City. Manager sits in Foster City.
