The engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments. Typical responsibilities include component design, modeling, cost analysis, technical documentation and testing of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate should be responsible, self-motivated, able to work individually, in an engineering and cross-functional team environments, have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a good understanding of the manufacturing process. The candidate will be expected to work closely with our field representatives to drive closure of our Field Turnback Backlog by implementing engineering changes as part of our change control process. Education BS degree in mechanical engineering Experience/Skills Strong mechanical engineering backgroundDesign and modeling of mechanical components with Creo or other 3D CAD softwareTechnical documentationSheet Metal DesignMicrosoft Office Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word softwarePDM/PLM softwareTest and measurement equipmentHands-on testing or manufacturing experience preferred but not required Cross functional stakeholder managementCommunicating technical solutions to non-technical team members
