Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering. Master’s Degree a plus.
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or have an Engineer In Training certification (FE/EIT). PE license preferred. Or desire to obtain PE license in the future.
2-7 years of full-time professional experience in building structural design.
Experience with relevant building codes (IBC, IRC) and standards for all building materials and components: steel, wood, concrete, masonry, and cold-formed steel; gravity, lateral, and foundation systems.
Experience with structural design software such as STAAD or RISA.
Proficient with Revit.
Responsibilities:
Design structural elements for new residential and commercial structures in steel, timber, concrete, and masonry. Design structural modifications to existing residential and commercial structures. We also design unique site and industrial structures.
Prepare contract documents (plans and specifications) for clients and contractors to use in permitting, bidding, and construction.
Inspect and observe our designs during construction.
Observe and document existing buildings to assess and renovate. We are existing building renovation experts!
Utilize the talents of a diverse staff with extensive experience in building inspection, design, and construction.
