Position Overview: Start Date : February 3, 2025 Duration : Ongoing assignment Shift Schedule : 10-14 shifts per month, with 5-7 consecutive day shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM Coverage : Inpatient-focused, scheduled clinical hours, plus in-house call Patients per Shift : Average of 15 patients Bed Capacity : 12 beds in the Emergency Department Practice Details: Certification Requirements : Physicians must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine Life Support Certifications Required : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS Privileges and Licensing : Temporary privileges available; MO licensure required for consideration Electronic Medical Records (EMR) : EPIC system in place Credentialing Timeline : 60-90 days for credentialing completion Support and Facilities: Support Staff : Includes three RNs per shift; no advanced practice providers on site, but physician supervision is required On-Call Support : Call response time is within 30 minutes; no phone consultations Specialty and Surgical Support : Available in critical areas, including general surgery, laboratory, radiology, and anesthesia (limited 24-hour availability for certain specialties) Requirements and Preferences: Missouri License : Current MO medical license is required Board Eligibility : Minimum requirement of board eligibility in Emergency Medicine Travel and Lodging : Arrangements can be coordinated through vendor-provided options as needed Holiday Coverage : Open for coverage during major holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
