Job Title: Welder / FabricatorJob DescriptionThis role offers an opportunity for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to work on small, medium, and large weldments while consistently meeting drawing requirements and exceeding customer expectations. You will perform high-quality welding and fabrication in accordance with AWS D1.1 codes, using a variety of processes and equipment in multiple positions. The position suits a hardworking professional who takes pride in precision, safety, and clear communication within a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesWeld and fabricate products in strict accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.Analyze drawings and plan the sequence of welding operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, solvent cleaning, wire brushing, and other appropriate methods.Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and AWS D1.1 code requirements at all times.Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in all positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.Measure and mark parts using tape measures, straightedges, rulers, and other layout tools to ensure correct dimensions and fit-up.Perform torch cutting, plasma cutting, grinding, and air arc gouging as required for fabrication and repair work.Maintain a strong focus on welding safety and support a risk-free work environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes, including correct rigging applications for lifting and moving materials.Keep the work area, tools, and welding equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition on a daily basis.Communicate openly and effectively with co-workers and leadership to coordinate work, resolve issues, and support production goals.Successfully complete and maintain the standards required by a pre-employment welding test and ongoing quality expectations. Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.At least five (5) years of welding experience.Proven ability to weld using FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/MIG) processes in all positions.in welding and fabricating in accordance with AWS D1.1 structural welding codes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and basic weld symbols.Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.Strong skills in torch cutting, plasma cutting, grinding, and air arc gouging.Ability to prepare metal surfaces for welding using grinding, solvent cleaning, wire brushing, and related methods.Competence in using measuring tools such as tape measures, straightedges, and rulers for accurate layout and fit-up.Knowledge of overhead and jib crane rigging applications and safe lifting practices.Experience in general safety and welding safety practices.Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment safely and effectively.Capability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes.Ability to pass a pre-employment welding test.
