ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs activities of minor fixes, repairs, broken locks, light bulb replacement, appliance installs, equipment and furniture moving, etc.
Performs basic dry wall patching, painting, and cleans up after themselves.
Manages the HVAC temperature controls, issues, and troubleshoots equipment and systems for further outsourcing and contracting needs.
Works directly with contracted companies and external vendors for contract needs when necessary or for duties outside of scoop (snowplowing, grounds workers, alarm company, construction, HVAC, etc.). Advises supervisor of changes, needs, etc. and proposes new ideas and solutions to maintenance needs.
Checks functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, fobs, etc.) and works directly with the fire dept. and police dept’s in case of emergencies. Must be available to handle call during off hours when calls come in regarding security system failures, alarms, etc.
Performs and schedules fire drills as needed.
Schedules and completes monthly building inspections at all sites.
Research best pricing options for equipment and building supplies needed.
Works with equipment testing third party vendor for routine inspections of current equipment and scheduling inspections when new equipment arrives.
Maintains external storage units and communicates with external vendors.
Performs custodial duties as necessary, including post work performed (mopping, plumbing, dusting, etc.).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required
One (1) to five (5) years maintenance experience required
Basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge preferred
Must have a valid New York or Pennsylvania State license with reliable transportation
Must possess basic computer skills
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to follow directions, read manuals, and understand drawings
Must be able to provide flexible hours of work
Universal Primary Care (UPC) is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our team as a part-time maintenance worker working Monday - Friday afternoons (1pm or later to 5pm).
Maintains facilities and performs upkeep maintenance for multiple locations that include repairs, painting, plumbing, minor electrical work, occasional groundskeeping, monthly building inspections, etc. Manages and oversees maintenance needs to keep the organization running smoothly. contracts, agreements, duties, vendors, etc. to maintain full facility maintenance functionality.
