Senior Health and Safety Manager

Senior EHS Manager (Interior Construction – Manhattan)We are seeking an experienced Senior EHS Manager to lead and elevate our safety program across interior construction projects throughout Manhattan. This role is critical in driving a proactive, "best-in-class" safety culture while ensuring full compliance with NYC and federal regulations.You'll partner closely with project teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to minimize risk, strengthen safety practices, and support successful project delivery in a fast-paced urban environment.What You'll DoChampion and promote a strong, company-wide safety culture across all job sitesImplement and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and incident prevention strategiesLead site safety efforts including inspections, hazard assessments, and subcontractor complianceEnsure adherence to OSHA, NYC DOB, FDNY, and all applicable regulatory requirementsOversee incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysisManage workers' compensation, liability claims, and overall loss control programsAct as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies, including OSHAPartner with insurance carriers and legal teams on claims and risk managementLead the Safety Committee and develop annual safety plans and budgetsTrack, analyze, and present monthly safety performance metrics to leadershipOversee safety onboarding and compliance tracking (including ODIN)Drive employee engagement through safety recognition and awareness programsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field7+ years of experience leading safety programs within construction (interiors experience strongly preferred)Background working with a general contractor or specialty contractorStrong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NYC-specific requirements (DOB, FDNY, etc.)Proven ability to identify risks and implement effective corrective actionsExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams in the fieldHighly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentProactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and safety excellenceCertificationsOSHA 30 requiredNYC DOB SST (Training Connect) required40-Hour HAZWOPER preferredCompensationSalary: Competitive, based on experience
