As the Associate Director, Engine Control Systems (ECS) HydroMechanical Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving ECS HydroMechanical Product Line customer satisfaction and improving overall business results by aligning strategy, engineering, operations and support functions throughout the full life cycle of our products. The ECS HydroMechanical Product Line portfolio consists of Fuel Metering Units, Integrated Fuel and Pump Controls, Valves and Actuators. These components support large commercial, small commercial, military engines and their associated customers.
In this role, you will be asked to support the product line strategy, new business proposals, new product introduction, operations (at our Windsor Locks and Poland sites) and aftermarket, including compliance with the relevant RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) policies and procedures.
This is a hybrid position located in Windsor Locks, CT. The expectation for the candidate is to be onsite 3-5 days onsite per week.
What You Will Do
Serve as the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPT) to meet all product line deliverables while creating and maintaining working relationships with internal customers and functional leadership
Identify risks and interface with cross-functional teams to develop appropriate mitigation and resolution
Solve complex operational issues through data analysis to lead the IPT in root cause and corrective action solutions while maintaining open communications and a cooperative work environment
Implement the product value stream strategy from both a technical and manufacturing perspective, drive progress and monitor results
Oversee the introduction of new products into the value stream throughout the Design & Development phases in conjunction with the customer value streams, engineering, operations and the functional groups
Drive actions to reduce cost and improve quality, producibility, and reliability across the product line
Partner with Supply Chain Management to improve supplier on time delivery
Travel 10% annually
Provide customer proposal input and support, including generation of relevant RLPM plans and gate packages
Evaluate engineering schedules and Bases of Estimates
Generate development and production Total Manufacturing Costs
Evaluate operations capacity and capital equipment planning
Oversee development and production program management
Implement product cost reduction initiatives
Drive on-time delivery and overdue reduction of HydroMechanical products
Ensure supplier quality issues are addressed effectively and in a timely manner
Support supplier rate-readiness activities for new and growing programs
Interface with Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Planning to identify, expedite and minimize future part shortages
Coordinate with production operations and supply chain in managing production deliveries, communicate/coordinate with Operations Leads to convey delivery commitments and risks to meet customer schedule requirements.
Monitor metrics (delivery/quality/overdue) and ensure RCCA is being driven
Review demand changes and coordinate with HydroMechanical Industrial Leads
Develop Buffer Strategies to maximize delivery results
Manage financial sales specific to production deliveries
Organize and support product reviews and team meetings
Support the Customer Program Management teams in ensuring customer satisfaction through strong communication and concise presentation material
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
