OverviewOur client is seeking a Managing Director (Partner/Principal) to help build and scale a high-growth Accounting Advisory (AAS) and CFO Advisory practice. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, capital markets readiness, and finance transformation, with a focus on serving private equity-backed and growth-oriented companies.This is a market-facing leadership role for a proven operator who combines deep technical accounting expertise with the ability to originate and expand client relationships with CFOs, finance leaders, and private equity sponsors.Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Growth & Business DevelopmentOriginate and expand client relationships with CFOs, private equity firms, and executive leadership teamsDrive revenue growth across accounting advisory and CFO advisory offeringsDevelop and execute a repeatable go-to-market strategy leveraging centers of influence and existing firm relationshipsClient Advisory & DeliveryLead complex engagements including:SEC reporting and technical accounting (U.S. GAAP; SEC regulations including S-X and S-K)IPO readiness, de-SPAC transactions, and public company preparednessTransaction-related accounting (ASC 805 / IFRS 3, purchase accounting, integration support)Finance function assessments, transformation, and financial close optimizationServe as a trusted advisor to CFOs on scaling finance functions and enhancing financial reporting processesPractice BuildingHelp define and expand service offerings across Accounting Advisory and CFO AdvisoryRecruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teamsPartner across the firm to drive cross-functional growth opportunitiesQualifications12–20+ years of experience in accounting advisory, transaction advisory, or CFO advisoryStrong background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and transaction-related accountingExperience supporting IPOs, capital markets transactions, or public company readiness initiativesDemonstrated success in business development and client relationship managementExperience working with private equity-backed or high-growth companies preferredPrior experience at a Big 4 or leading advisory platform such as PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, or firms such as Alvarez & Marsal, Accordion, or RiveronWhat This Role OffersOpportunity to help build and scale a high-growth advisory practiceDirect impact on go-to-market strategy and service line expansionExposure to private equity-backed and growth-stage clientsEntrepreneurial environment with significant upside tied to practice growth
