Neurology Front Desk Coordinator

Job Description ABOUT THE PRACTICE: Thriving, busy non-profit clinic providing high-quality neurology services. Highly patient-centered practice focusing on customer service.We are looking for a professional individual with a pleasant, courteous manner who is comfortable multi-tasking to handle phones, front desk, patient scheduling, insurance verification and clinical documentation.Greeting patients and their family/ companions and checking them in for their appointment, collection of copays, deductibles & outstanding balances/ check out upon completion of the visit.Registering new patients and ensuring that patient medical records, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations are obtained before the appointment.Verification of patient demographics and insurance coverage for all patients, obtaining referrals & authorizations prior to neurology visits and medical records from PCP or referring doctor.Calling/ texting/ emailing patients to confirm upcoming appointments, cancel and/ or reschedule appointments.Provide clinical documentation to patients & educate them about testing procedures ordered by the Neurologist.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Front desk/check-in & check-out experience in doctor's office or clinic.Spanish required.Healthcare experience required.Position is full time Monday through Friday starting at 8:45am through 5:00pmBenefits include dental, vision, and major medical coverage, paid Federal holidays, PTO, 401k with 4% employer match.
