Join our team and be a part of something great!Daily Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all day-to-day on-site activities for commercial construction projectsManage projects in the field from mobilization through punch list and closeoutCoordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, inspections, and other field activitiesReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and approved submittalsCoordinate daily with Project Managers and communicate field progress, issues, and upcoming needsMaintain and update short-term/look-ahead schedules to keep subcontractors and project activities on trackEnsure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and project scheduleIdentify conflicts, discrepancies, and constructability issues and communicate them promptly to the Project ManagerMaintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, photos, safety documentation, and other required project recordsConduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety requirementsCoordinate required inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptlyMonitor subcontractor performance and hold trades accountable for schedule, quality, safety, and cleanlinessManage punch-list activities and assist with project closeoutMaintain clean, organized, professional, and safe job sitesMonitor and report project progress to leadershipOccasionally lift and carry materials and tools over 25 lbs.Required Skills:Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projectsDemonstrated experience managing multiple subcontractor trades and commercial projects from start through closeoutStrong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, building codes, inspections, and safety requirementsProven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and submittalsStrong scheduling and subcontractor coordination skillsAbility to identify field conflicts and proactively resolve issues before they impact schedule or qualityExcellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and quality controlFamiliarity with construction management software such as ProcoreWorking knowledge of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practicesValid driver's license and reliable transportationNice to Have Skills:Estimating experienceBackground in procurementOSHA certificationSalary and Benefits:We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, long-term disability, and short-term disability.Company Information:RMT Construction & Development Group, LLC is a woman-minority-owned general contracting and construction management firm based in Richmond, Virginia.
