Project Estimator Assistant

Position: Project Estimator AssistantIn this role you will be responsible for securing current customers and canvassing for new potential customers. Duties also include estimating times, calculating supplies and labor on consumable pricing for specific project quotes. Possess a high level of expertise of sheet metal fabrication and welding processes, and reading blueprints; to be able to accurately supply customers with bid proposals for their project needs. Coordinating sales efforts with marketing strategies while understanding and promoting company processes. Maintain customer records that include customer contacts and any account updates. Be knowledgeable and able to provide accurate information to customers such as credit terms, products, prices, lead times and availability. Negotiate all contracts with prospective customers under the guidance of the Lead Project Estimator and CFO.Reporting/InteractionPosition directly reports to the CFO. This position must be able to effectively communicate with the management team, team members, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders as required.Requirements/BackgroundValid Driver's LicenseHighschool Diploma or equivalentExceptionally strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, open-minded and approachable.Be proficient with computers (Excel)Possess knowledge in sheet metal fabrication & welding and their processes.Proficient in reading blueprintsEssential Abilities & Additional SkillsCustomer focus, manage relationships, be passionate about work and have a strong sense of responsibility.Able to develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.Assist with implementing new business practices.Assist with company processes and day to day business needs.Provide feedback and project updates.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, while multitasking and meeting strict deadlines.IND1
