This role requires a seasoned leader with experience managing complex materials, coordinating closely with manufacturing teams, and ensuring accurate and timely material flow to production.The supervisor oversees staff performance, assigns work across warehouse functions, and drives on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, capacity, and productivity. This role also requires the ability to interpret production needs, understand technical documentation, and align warehouse operations to fabrication workflows.By monitoring KPIs, coaching and developing employees, enforcing company policies, and driving operational performance, this role ensures reliable logistics execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead daily warehouse operations supporting fabrication and production needsEnsure accurate and timely material flow to and from manufacturing areasPartner closely with fabrication teams to support production schedules and prioritiesOversee inventory accuracy, material handling, storage, and movement of complex componentsSupport handling of sheet metal parts, fabricated components, and WIP inventoryAssign and prioritize work across receiving, inventory, and warehouse functionsManage department productivity, staffing, capacity, and overtimeTrack and report operational performance, including KPI reporting and trend analysisMaintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational proceduresLead, coach, and develop team membersConduct performance reviews and manage employee performanceEstablish and drive cross-training initiativesOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong knowledge of warehouse operations in a manufacturing/fabrication environmentAbility to work with and manage complex, high-value materials and assembliesAbility to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawingsFamiliarity with sheet metal or fabrication-related materials and workflows preferredStrong understanding of inventory control, material flow, and production supportAbility to maintain inventory accuracy and cycle count processesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including building and analyzing KPI reports using:Pivot tablesVLOOKUPsData tracking toolsStrong problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced production environmentEducational/Certification RequirementHigh School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or equivalent in Business Administration.Work Experience5+ years of experience in warehouse/logistics within a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting fabrication, machining, or production operations strongly preferredExperience handling sheet metal components or similar materials preferredExperience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)Exposure to Lean, JIT, or similar methodologies (nice to have, not required)Management Experience2–5+ years of supervisory experience managing warehouse/logistics teamsExperience managing 5–10+ employees in a production-support environmentProven ability to:Lead teams in a high-volume, high-complexity environmentDrive productivity and operational performancePartner cross-functionally with manufacturing teamsExperience managing complex inventory (machined parts, fabricated assemblies, etc.)Work EnvironmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Works in a manufacturing or Warehouse environment.Physical DemandsAbility to kneel, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
