DevOps OpenShift Engineer

Must be local to NYC or within commuting distance.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to manage and administer RedHat OpenShift Container Platform services. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to containerize applications, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure platform security and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and administer RedHat OpenShift Container Platform servicesCollaborate with development teams to containerize applicationsAddress vulnerabilities identified in static/dynamic scans and container registry scansConfigure authentication methods, RBAC roles, permissions, and user account managementEvaluate and recommend efficiencies using OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt)Design, deploy, and configure OpenShift environmentsImplement application containerization and orchestration solutionsModify Jenkins jobs and adjust CI/CD pipelines as neededWork with developers to understand and migrate existing workflowsDevelop automation using Python and Shell scriptingSupport and maintain multiple OpenShift clusters (approximately 400–500 nodes)Collaborate with application development teamsMonitor and observe using tools such as DataDog (nice to have)Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift administrationExpertise in application containerization and orchestrationExperience with Jenkins pipeline modificationsProficiency in Python and Shell scriptingSolid understanding of RBAC, authentication, and security best practicesExperience troubleshooting vulnerabilities from security scansAbility to work closely with developers in an Agile environmentNice to HaveExperience with DataDog monitoringKnowledge of OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt)J-18808-Ljbffr
