We provide exceptional care across three practice locations:Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC): A central site offering hospital-based consulting service (no dedicated hematology-oncology inpatient service) and comprehensive outpatient clinics, including a chemo infusion suite.Healthcare Centers in Kernersville and Charlotte, NC: Both equipped with full chemo infusion capabilities.Opportunity HighlightsLeading Program: Be a part of one of the VHA's largest oncology programs, featuring the largest chemo infusion program.Certified Excellence: Our program is ASCO-QOPI certified, ensuring the highest quality of care.Robust Research: Engage with our strong clinical trials unit, which includes both Pharma and investigator-initiated protocols.Academic Excellence: Work in a renowned training site for Wake Forest University oncology fellows.Teaching and Research: Ample opportunities to contribute to teaching and research activities.Work ScheduleRegular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.Flexibility: Flexible or compressed schedules may be considered.Call Coverage: Approximate phone coverage of 1 in 6.Academic AffiliationWake Forest University School of MedicinePreferred QualificationsCertification: ABIM board-certified in hematology-oncology.Experience: 5 years in clinical practice, clinical trials, and trainee oversight.RequirementsCitizenship: U.S. Citizenship, with non-citizens considered only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited.Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.Licensure: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty.Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology Oncology.BenefitsThe VA offers an industry-leading benefits package designed to support high-quality professional practice and foster a favorable work-life balance.
