Network Infrastructure Engineer
Position Summary:The Senior Load Balancer Engineer will lead and support complex IT infrastructure initiatives including installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise load balancing systems. This role is responsible for managing core system hardware and software aligned with organizational architecture and business needs.The engineer will support F5 Load Balancers, including F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM). Responsibilities include creating and managing virtual servers, pools, pool members, nodes, monitors, and iRules. The role involves planning upgrades, system health monitoring, performance tuning, and ensuring minimal downtime during hardware and software upgrades.The position requires supporting cloud-based load balancing across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and IBM Cloud. Additional duties include troubleshooting production issues, designing system architecture, coordinating application testing, and maintaining security patch compliance.Required Skills & Experience:Strong expertise in F5 VIPRION LTM and GTM (physical and virtual)Experience migrating from physical to virtual F5 environmentsKnowledge of VMware ARVI and cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud)Experience with global and local load balancing, SSL acceleration, HTTP compression/caching, and DNSMinimum 3 years configuring and troubleshooting F5 VIPRION solutions in enterprise environmentsMinimum 3 years Cisco network administration experienceMinimum 2 years supporting cloud-based load balancers and network systemsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
