Coldfusion Developer

Overview: company seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to provide expertise in analyzing, designing, and supporting networking and application solutions. The role primarily focuses on evaluating and updating ColdFusion applications in line with the latest version (ColdFusion 2023). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ColdFusion solutions, troubleshooting, and technical support.Key Responsibilities:ColdFusion Analysis & Evaluation:Analyze and evaluate ColdFusion application software code to identify features that will be retired, removed, deprecated, or unsupported in ColdFusion 2023.Recommend mitigation options for applications affected by these changes.Software Upgrades & Pipelines:Upgrade application software code to ensure compliance with HTTPS standards.Create and manage Azure Deploy Pipelines as needed.Troubleshooting & Support:Troubleshoot issues related to ColdFusion applications that have been migrated from version 2018 to 2023.Provide technical support and resolve issues related to both hardware and software.Migration & Documentation:Make recommendations for the migration of agency ColdFusion applications requiring mediation.Provide estimates for task completion and communicate progress effectively.Architect and document the logical structure for software systems and databases.Task Management:Manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize work based on urgency and importance.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).At least 9 years of equivalent experience in a related area.Technical Skills:Advanced skills in developing, testing, and deploying ColdFusion applications.Experience with ColdFusion code analyzers and version migrations.Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and technologies in networking and application development.Soft Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with users, understand their needs, and document requirements.Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to design solutions for complex issues.Methodology:Understanding of Information System Development Lifecycle (ISDL) methodology.Experience with requirements management and performing analysis within source code.Additional Information:This is a part-time position with a commitment of 4 hours per day for a duration of 1 year.The work schedule will be negotiated upon selection.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit their resume, a cover letter detailing their relevant experience, and any other supporting documents as required.
