Job TypeFull-timeDescription70% (Treating) -30% (Admin/Supervisor tasks)* SummaryThe Physical Therapy Supervisor provides day-to-day operational and personnel oversight for outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation services, with direct supervision of Physical Therapy Technicians. This role supports efficient clinic operations, ensures high-quality patient care delivery, and maintains compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and therapy practice guidelines. The supervisor works closely with rehabilitation department staff to optimize patient flow, support clinical productivity, and foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient-centered care.ClinicalESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)Serve as a clinician and complete the responsibilities required of their respective clinical job descriptionSupervisorySupervise, coach, and counsel physical therapy technicians, including feedback to compliment or address behaviors, regular one-on-ones, and annual performance evaluationsRecruit, interview and hire physical therapy technicians, with guidance from Director as requiredFacilitate a positive and cooperative work environment amongst the rehab employeesFacilitate PT Technician communications and participate in interdepartmental staff meetingsOversee the inventory and ordering of supplies, including appropriate coding and submission of clinic invoices to accounts payableAddress and educate PT Techs regarding patient perceptions of care, compliments, and complaintsActively work with Rehab PAR Supervisor to ensure optimal clinic reimbursement Serve as Center Coordinator for Clinical Education (CCCE), responsible for coordinating, managing, and supporting high-quality clinical education experiences for Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) students and student observers within the assigned clinics. Primary liaison between academic programs and clinical sites, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, organizational policies, and best practices in clinical education. The CCCE supports clinical instructors, promotes a positive learning environment, and works collaboratively to ensure effective student placement, onboarding, and evaluation.Requirements EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE AND EXPERIENCEDegree from an accredited Physical Therapy , active Texas license Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a rehabilitation provider RequiredAt least 2 years in a lead or supervisor role preferred Skills/AbilitiesBasic working knowledge of Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to make independent decisions after gathering information from available sourcesAbility to deal with conflict constructively and seek resolution with those involved
