Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable ClerkResponsibilities:Analyze invoices and purchase orders to verify there are no discrepancies or issues on all items submitted for paymentVerifies appropriate charges, approvals, coding, and payment terms are usedEnters data into the financial system from source documents to ensure the accurate and timely payment of the company's obligationsResponds to general inquiries regarding invoices or paymentsInteracts with vendors and various internal groups to resolve both routine and non-routine problems concerning discrepant, incomplete, or conflicting invoicesMaintain historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts and checks by saving documents properly on the networkRequirements:High school diploma or GED equivalency requiredProficient data entry and computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel), JD Edwards preferredExperience with accounts payable, bookkeeping and/or accounting requiredSkills:Well organized with clear ability to prioritize work and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and accuracy of workAbility to work independently and utilize problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonalAbility to perform financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divide into all units of measure-to include whole numbers, decimals, and common fractionsAbout Snelling:Founded in 1951 by Lou and Gwen Snelling, Snelling is a staffing and recruiting pioneer, bringing innovative solutions to the industry.
